Let's see...... Where do I begin. I've been frequenting this location of Sal's for about 4 years now. If you eat in the restaurant, you get a great, crispy pizza, piping hot out of the oven and great service. What you get when you place an order for take-out is a soggy mess. Don't bother with delivery, even during non-peak time it runs over an hour. I can't tell you how many times we've gotten cold pizza and had to reheat it in our own oven. Even the "fast food" pizza restaurants like Pizza Hut and dominos can get this part right. The drivers never have change so you can tip them so you either have to give them a five or nothing at all..... My recommendation... Pay by card so you can just tip what you think they deserve, not what you're forced to. Garlic rolls are super bland, they taste like buttered rolls, hardly any garlic. Pizza sauce is kind of sweet, but some nights it's fine, so not sure there. Monday and Tuesday nights are the best value, large cheese pizza for $7.00. Our last delivery order: large pizza with half pepperoni and half green peppers and sausage and two cannolis (THESE ARE AWESOME) cost was $32.00....... For a pizza that's kind of pricey. The cannolis are totally worth the $4.50 they charge, they are delish!! All in all, just eat there, on Monday or Tuesday if you can, it's a much better "budget friendly" deal.

It's always nice to have some friend time. We decided to have lunch at Sal's since I was in the boondocks on this day and I wanted to catch up with her. I always take advantage of the coupons and we scored a pretty cheap bill....love it! Anyway, I had a ceasar salad and a half of a ricotta cheese calzone. I didn't think a small one would be huge, but it was. My mom thank me for the leftovers though ;) I didn't really like the garlic rolls here. They were overloaded with garlic, which could of been toned down a bit. Other than that, the service was quick and prompt.

Always reliably good pizzas, stromboli, and garlic rolls. Friendly staff.

I love sals! Very cozy inside although it can get loud when it's busy. Their pizza is not overly greasy and the garlic rolls are fantastic. The service was okay and their prices are normal.

I won't go back. Very pricey for so-so food. Service was good but that's all that can be said about this place. Save your money.

The online menu is not up to date. The food is good ,but had that chain restaurant taste. Atmosphere is very nice and the prices are a bit on the high side for an Italian mostly togo place.

Not bad at all. Low key place, good lunch and early bird specials. I stopped by with the family and Got a cheese pizza, stuffed calzone, and spaghetti and meatballs. It did not disappoint. I have visited other sal's locations and they are consistent on their service and quality. The pizza was nice and crisp, no doughy crust, the calzone had the same toasty crispness and the kids spaghetti and meatballs was big enough to share among 2-3 kids. They have a great carry out special on Mondays and Tuesday's. Pizza like this will make you wonder why you would even bother with places like lil Caesars.

This restaurant has been in decline for some time. It's usually good food but the employees are ambivalent. They seem to forget that this is a service business.. After being huffed at today by the person answering the phone that they weren't delivering I decided that they really don't deserve our business any longer. Sal's. I hope you get your act together.. if not, I can get a Stromboli elsewhere.

I'm not exactly sure what they do to their dough, but it tastes vastly different from their Jupiter location. Though the crust itself was light in color at the bottom, it still tasted burnt. Maybe it's the oven, but I don't think I will be returning to this sal's in the future.

This star is for the good service as well as the meet-and -greet by the host. we had ordered 2 different kinds of pizza since we saw that all tables there had ordered pizza and plus, there were many pizza boxes ready to be picked up by call-ins. Our food came and the pizza was inedible; it was a garlic pizza to say the least. Very little cheese, too much garlicky tomato sauce, mushy crust. Just horrible. Will not go there again.

Didn't even get to try their food. Waited ten minutes for a soda. Waiter was visibly a wreck. The food smelled good, but sadly I never got to taste it. As we were leaving another customer said " don't even sit down. Just leave. "

I've frequented many Sal's over the years and always enjoyed them. However, this Royal Palm location provides horrible service and what's worse is they simply don't care. After ordering delivery service from them uncountable times over the past few years, lately the delivery has taken longer and longer. Last few times we waited almost 2 hours and when the food finally arrived the order was wrong. The very last delivery it was a nightmare. It ruined our whole evening. When I called to see about getting it corrected, the "manager" I spoke to was completely UNapologetic and did nothing to fix the problem but instead had an "oh well" attitude. She said she would credit back part of our order that was wrong, only after my asking, but the credit never happened. So,after months and months of avoiding Sal's after that incident, afraid to trust them again, yesterday I broke down and decided to try again - this time to call in an order to pick up personally so that I could check it before getting it home to be sure it was correct. When I called in the order I was VERY VERY specific about my order, repeating every detail clearly and the girl taking the order acknowledged it all perfectly. Great, I thought. So, I stop in on my way home from work to pick up the order and I pay for it upon arrival. Of course I pull it out of the bags to check to be sure they got it all right. The first 2 things I pulled out were totally wrong and the opposite of what I ordered. I was in disbelief! I could NOT have been more clear when ordering - but again, apparently they simply don't care. When I handed these items to the girl at the counter and told her they were wrong (presumably the girl who took my order), she said nothing at all just turned around and went to the kitchen. Never apologized, never said we'll fix this right away, nothing. I was just left standing there. I was livid. She disappeared and when I did finally see her again near the counter I asked how long she thought it may take to get my corrected items (I'd already been standing in the place for 15 minutes), and her response was "I have no idea". Which I took to really mean "I don't care". Finally after standing in the restaurant for THIRTY minutes, I got my correct order and left. It was unbelievable the level of incompetence and lack of professionalism in this "business". Never one apology. That was it for me. They will not get another penny from me. NEVER. AGAIN.

This place has got to get it together, but the employees don't seem to care. My significant other likes their mussels marinara, but when I called it in for take out, was told 20 minutes. I got their 30 minutes later, and was told it needed another 10 minutes! Mussels marinara should be a quick cook-up. Not only that, the woman who took the order said we could have garlic bread, and instead we got garlic rolls, which were lame and garlic-less. The food is bland and Service worse yet they just don't seem to care. There are lots better Italian restaurants.

I'm a fan of their Monday-Tuesday night pizza special and those are the only days we utilize Sals. But I also have to say that they are the only place we can find a sicialian pizza, and it's pretty decent most of the time, and their stromboli is pretty much to die for. Hubby loves the cold antipasto salad with the balsamic dressing (though I'm not a huge fan of the salami they use). The pasta fajoli (sp?) is really good too. We like real pizza, and Sal's is pretty much the only place around that provides it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
